While it has lost some of its original appeal among younger users, it continues to serve as the primary way many people stay connected with family, follow local news, join community groups, buy and sell items on Marketplace, and find local events. For users in their thirties and older, Facebook is often still the social network where most of their connections are active.
The app has become busier over the years with more features, more ads, and more content recommendations. It can feel cluttered compared to simpler apps, but the core functions, seeing updates from people you know, are still easy to find.
2. What Facebook Does Well
Staying connected with a wide network. Facebook’s biggest strength is its scale. If you have friends, family, or colleagues spread across different places, Facebook is often the one platform where you can find all of them.
